Raised (mostly) in Canada. At home everywhere.

Jess MacAleese is a photographer and visual storyteller, best known for her emotive imagery captured from real-life moments around the world.  Growing up in a military family and moving every three years sparked her curiosity for the world young. She works to document and share stories that inspire travellers to be curious about areas less known, feel connected to what unites us and celebrate what makes us different.

Spending long periods in each country gives MacAleese the opportunity to explore the layers that make up a place and capture the details of the everyday. Through her work MacAleese strives to empower people to find their own journey to gain a greater understanding of the world we call home.

After launching her full-time career as a photographer in Dubai in 2013 her passion and ability to bring client’s visions to life has earned her opportunities to work in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East with clients such as Vancouver Tourism, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of the UAE, Dior, Ralph Lauren, Electronic Arts, BMW, Parq Vancouver, Telus and JW Marriott.
